Here is one option made from a former MAN missile tractor and present at Mogfest 07
This vehicle was purchased off Ebay several years ago by a man who makes custom trailers and RVs. At that time it needed some work and obviously didn't have the custom RV mounted to it. He is also responsible for making some of the custom vehicles featured in Jurassic Park II.
..that....is beautiful....*tears in eyes, sniff sniff*

personally i am going big. I have my class A license, and i can drive me an 18 wheeler.
know where i can find a couple, too.
they may be noisy, but they are powerful brutes, and having a trailer's worth of storage sounds like a good idea to me.

I can't exactly, drive per say, but personally I don't know if I'd go for a motor vehicle.
Probably a mountain bike or something of the like.
I suppose I'd go with something that was easily maneuverable, and as fuel efficient as possible.
So probably something small.

Per se.
you make a good point with the fuel efficiency, so i will go ahead and steal your mountain bike idea and roll it into my semi.
i can take one (or more) in my trailer no prob, and use them for small excersions. perhaps a 4x4 or something with some more storage space, so i can forage without taking a diesel engine right through town...

Ha, thanks for the correction comrade.
And that's not a bad idea either.

I'm going along the same lines. Although the dirt bike I have is by no means quiet, as it runs louder than my car. The only plus side to it other than maneuverability is that it has a carburetor, making it easier to self-maintain IMO.

Re: Vehicles: Big/Burly? Light/Quiet?
Realistically speaking I would have access to none of these really good ones, what I would mostlikely be driving would be a car that gets good mileage so I don't get stuck somewhere instead of burliness (because lets face it, a Cadillac is going to be able to kill zombies almost as well as a hummer) augmented with armor. Metal plates for the wide windows etc. Thing the Punisher movie

Ford Ranger. 4-wheel drive, good gas mileage, and small enough to fit through tight areas, but large enough to take out some zeds.

Re: Vehicles: Big/Burly? Light/Quiet?

I plan to pick up as many Z:CORPS and survivors on the East Coast as i can before heading to our HQ, i spoke to this guy at a junkyard who actually two doubledeckers and since they're in such piss-poor condition, i might buy them fairly cheap.
Ideally, i'll rig up the steering so i can control them both in one bus. So it'll basically be a friggin' double decked train on the fuckin street.
The survivors would fill the bus' insides while Z:CORP ZACs would be on top either with their own weapons, or i might build a turret or two up there.
i'll make a quick shoop tomorrow so you can get an idea

Honestly, I'd be a little paranoid about that thing tipping over.

Re: Vehicles: Big/Burly? Light/Quiet?
I'm looking for something big enough to store some shit in, but small enough to drive on the sidewalk, and tough enough to fatten any son of a bitch that gets in my way.
any suggestions?

Small enough to drive on the sidewalk is a hard requirement to fill. Maybe a reinforced golf cart with a motorcycle engine.
