Depending on the quality, this might be a great bargain.

They're a camera that sees in infrared with some infrared lights attached.
Good NV goggles that can see over 40-60 feet cost at LEAST $250. These things are a novelty and nothing more.

Re: Thank you Activision
I think if enough people all start using these at once in public on a national scale several cities police will be some where between "what the fuck is going on" and shitting them self.
just imagine some cop siting a few blocks from the game store drinking his coffee and waiting for the night sift to end when midnight rolls around and a few minuets latter 15 kids wearing what looks like military grade night vision goggles go by on bikes, walking, driving, etc.
If they are good great but for 100 dollars I'm expecting low end gear.

Re: Thank you Activision
That's what I was afraid of. I guess this thread should be renamed "Screw you, Activision"

Re: Thank you Activision
LOL, unless you are wanting to crash and crash with style do not ever try to ride a bike or skateboard or shopping cart while wearing NODS. i have done all three and i have to say it was EPIC. You need to be specifically trained to operate things while wearing them as you have no depth perception. I can drive very well with them but still its not easy. if you are looking for some that are cheap, look at first get ATN, go with a monocular type so you might have some depth perception. I have a cheapie throw away gen 2 set that i use as a fixed point device. For work its the nice stuff that costs more than my truck. lol. oh just as a pointer if you buy a cheap set you can see a bit farther if you pop for a high end light system with IR filter, as the IR illuminator on early style NODS is usually not very high powered.
