as i said on another thread,
i'm gonna purchase a Radio, and using the handle "Z-Dog" (haha). Basically, since propaganda is my ordeal of the pre/post z-day world i will be basically be making a proto-apocalyptic radio show, playing music, giving updates in Real World Politics (something i always wanted to do ) and of course, Provide details and information to all ZACs tuning in. It'll be a neat little way for us all to keep in touch in the real world.

Post-Apocalypse, however, i will continue the show as a beacon, to lure survivors towards HQ, provide hope to everyone. Also to combat the propaganda and bullshit from the US Government/ Major corporations, as you know they will be broadcasting 24/7 to make sure everyone knows they have everything under control.

ehhh....
maybe more just number 2 and 3...
chances are this will end up being a pirated radio station.
since most people are listening to digital, a single rogue radio station known only to a few dozen now, a few hundred later, probably wouldn't be noticed too quickly.

For now, you could podcast/stream radio online, I listen to alot of streaming radio and I think alot of it could be done free, just buy a USB plug'n'play mic like this one then just play tunes from your comp also!

Oh yes. ShoutCast is free to connect to and run off of. not easy to set up though, lots of complicated crap. But you dont need a liscence or anything. Just download the instructions and the program.

HAMs don't do what you're suggesting. HAM broadcasts on shortwave, that's different from AM and FM.

Unrelated radio question:

Ham Radio Operators are supposed to be liscensed and its called something like an Amateur radio liscense, is that the same thing as AM band, AM meaning AMateur band?
