i think we need to work on basic communication, also why didnt he pick it when he was awake instead. sorta hard to do when your asleep scratch

I know how to wire a manual two-way telephone line if we manage to get our hands on some balanced line and two of these field telephones, but it might be able to wire it between two normal phones as well. Might be useful when drawing a telephone line between sleeping quarters and guardpost, or any other connection that needs information to travel faster than by running + shouting. I also know how to use these, and teaching the tech isn't hard either.

Oh and before anybody asks "Why such bulky, grotesque pieces of stoneage technology?" - all of these have minimal battery consumption and a bulky, metallic frame to make it last through rougher rides. And that's first priority when z-day hits.
