Re: a question.
lol Yeah, but it would be considered economic warfare by the gov and we would all be blacklisted and or black bagged.

I agree with Jack here. Wait until the shit hits the fan and the government is in too much of a panic to black bag anyone. Or, better yet, don't piss them off at all- We don't want to get our asses kicked by the FBI/CIA/Military.

They have plans for those channels anyway, they aren't going to just collect dust.

the core idea is good though. it would be beneficial to have a (legal) way to do live broadcasts, something that wont go down with the rest of the grid. any other ideas?

It would be an expensive endeavor, but we could purchase a TV station or get a time slot on some public access channel.

Re: a question.
Off the top of my head the only things that will keep working with no power is satellite tv and I don't think we have the funding to launch a satellite but even with that the ground station still needs to send the programs to be aired up radio might work but we may need a radio tower to send the signal to everyone. I guess ham radio would work but to get that to everyone would need a ham radio.

Re: a question.
The entire idea of have our own satelite may not be as expensive as you may think. Although depending on the orbit you want it to go in, of course. Also like hacking into and useing a satelite for private use is illegal, i am just not sure what would be more. Stealing one or making and launching your own. They dont have to be huge just large enough to do what they are designed to do. Essientally anyone can build a satelite and a rocket that might make it to geosynchronous orbit out of house hold materials, or materials available to the public. The problem would be the trafficing and the math of the trajectories. I shall see if i can come up with any ideas that will fit the required needs.

Re: a question.
Exactly what do you have in your house that can get something to space? Also the FAA might not like it when they realize you just launched a rocket out of your backyard.

Re: a question.
I've noticed a surprising lack of AM stations when I accidently hit the button while driving and don't realize, what about those, or do they have like no range?
