Keeping you from the verge of insanity

Post  juggajames on Tue Jun 30, 2009 4:53 pm

What do you like to do when you're bored? Something you could still do after Z-day.

I've gotten into paper craft lately. Right now I'm in the middle of building an ODST helmet from Halo: ODST. Also making a small clone trooper helmet from Star Wars.

If we manage to get our hands on some books, I'd read 'em.

Ancient Ninja Proverb: only boring people get bored

not that the above is directed at anyone of course lol

when I have spare time I grab my bass and just play some random riffs that come from within depending on my mood, it might sound like a desert caravan gypsy jam or some space like noize alien channeling cosmic thrash though if Z-day did come and the power did go out I would need to sneak into a music shop and steal an acoustic bass guitar to keep feeling the music.
I also read. lots. I decided to carve out a couple ball warclubs recently, the wood is drying out now in the basement now, should be ready to get shaped in a few days.

If I got really really, incredibly bored, so bored that I'd consider jumping off a building onto a hippo just to break up the day a little, then I would learn to juggle with four things at a time. And then juggle four batteries that have been scratched at the contacts while wearing chain-mail gloves. That would be filed away in my mind under "Shits and Giggles when Bored out of Skull", but apart from that, I'd grab a few books (preferably about magic tricks or sci-fi) and read when there's nothing to do. Also, If I can either save or bodge one, I'd probably keep practising on my drum kit. Oh, and Genju,
sound like a desert caravan gypsy jam or some space like noize alien channeling cosmic thrash.

currently i am emulating just about everydamnthing up to and including PS2 on my laptop. if i was completely without power to run it... well, I'd be sol, lets be honest. 90% of my D&D books are on here so i wouldnt evenly be able to roll dice effectively, unless i came across a xerox with a full ink cartridge that i could plug into. nope, definitely screwed. i guess i would read and learn all the things i have been putting off for so long. mainly math and physics, learning guitar, etc.

To be bored in the post-apocalytic world

Post  Jack-Frost on Tue Aug 11, 2009 10:11 pm

refine martial arts, read much more than I do now (a novel a week), learn more about anatomy and physiology, and if at all possible (incase my laptop can still function) catch up on the 40 gigs of movies I still haven't watch (no...Not porn you dirty bastards...) then just relax and listen to music for a while.

We'd never assume porn. Honest.

lol my family is big into reading. I have my own little library in my room and I read about a book every three days. I also like to doodle although I have no talent at drawing. Oh and I love to write, unfortunately I rarely finish anything I've started writing and it's one of the biggest pet peeves for my friends. They frequently yell at me for it lol I play rugby? Maybe we can throw around a ball while we're running from the zom hordes? Razz

I think inventing stuff would be a necessity in the post-apocalyptic world. We would constantly be looking for ways to make our lives safer or easier.

Rugby is really good training for getting annoying fucks out of the way.
