Post  Tyanet on Sun Jun 07, 2009 1:26 pm

Hey everyone, I'm , as my internet alias says, 'Tyanet' but you can call me Matt if you feel like it. I'm currently unemployed, but 'High School Student' works well too. I'm a self proclaimed zombie survival expert and get really pissed when people say zombies are 'Green corpses the come from graves to eat your brains' or 'extremely fast people that have been infected with a form of rabies' (YES 28 weeks later, that was directed at YOU). I have a fairly good sense of humor and often have been known to keep morale up amongst me and my friends. I like to tinker and build stuff.

I guess that's fine?

Hey guys, my internet name is Mokona, although I go by several different nicknames in real life. My name is Eli Farin, I am 17 and I live in Wisconsin. I am a tech guy, building computers and fixing them, networking, coding, etcetera. I am a swimmer and runner, which should prove useful for escaping a zombie invasion. I am a self-taught lockpicker, and never go anywhere without my multitool and a few safety pins. I feel like if I am watching someone's back, they should know me as well as I know myself, and vice versa. I am Buddhist, although I go out of my way to not fit any stereotypes, and mainly believe in philosophical religion - even though my morals are fucked up in comparison to everyone else's. My dad was a wilderness EMT, so I go camping and kayaking at least once a year. I know quite a bit about wilderness survival from my dad, and a lot of it is from real-life experiences rather than book knowledge. I can drive a manual car, and believe that everyone should be able to in an emergency. I am a pyro, and tinker around with fire and home-made explosives quite a bit.

I'll edit if I think of anything else.

Hi there Eli, I'm Xolotl and this might be a good time for me to do an intro since I haven't done one yet. So here goes;
My online name is Xolotl but you can call me Ed, Edd or Eddie, I'm 15 and possibly the only member of Z:CORPS that posts regularly from across the pond here in England. I think it's a definite possibility for a zombie outbreak but am hoping it won't since I'm still a little bit on the chunky side, although a lot leaner than I have ever been, and would probably get myself deadifyed sooner or later. I am about 5' 10" and quite broad with a rapidly becoming healthier body thanks to what I eat (as it had better be because of how much of the stuff I eat). I can cook a variety of things from scratch, which makes it about 10 times easier to be healthy than from microwave stuff, and quite like learning other recipes. I have built some of the furniture in my house and it is still standing, I have a very rudimentary knowledge of how to build a circuit board and am very interested in the martial arts. I have never fired an actual gun before in my life but have with a crossbow and am thinking about taking up archery over the summer as something to do. I am very scientifically minded and not particularly religious but quite like the mythology of the Celts and very of the occasional mind melting theory of the universe. See this for details; http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-scientific-theories-head-explode/ or this, http://www.cracked.com/article_16871_6-insane-discoveries-that-science-cant-explain.html

Re: Introductions

Post  BleedTheMoonRise on Mon Sep 21, 2009 6:50 pm

Ignore the hastily thought-up name, I'm Patrick Ruiz hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Currently fifteen, uhm, I'm none too sure what to tell you guys, I'm open minded, love philosophy, and have always thought that my whole purpose in life was to prepare, and survive and i see nothing greater a test than a full-fledged Armageddon wasteland in the near future, which might not be too impossible . I would like to consider myself at least a semi-good shot with a shotgun, I've been going to my cousins boy scout gun camp out for 2 years and i always seem to always be with the higher ups in that area (hit 45/50 skeet shooting) but then again that could be just luck, but i wouldn't like to think so, I wouldn't consider myself much of a strong kid 5'9, 170, But I am taking wrestling this year and hopefully filling out nicely soon, I guess in all senses I see an Armageddon as a way of starting life over but better this time, not so many poor, less control over the main population and an Anarchic Utopia, BUT hold the phone before you get yourself worked over when i mention the word, I don't want to seem like a teenage rebellious fuck because i've researched and researched ways to change this country and I've had this mindset for awhile. If you want to know more visit crimethinc.com, I know it may seem like a Bullshit propaganda website targeted towards teens like me, but most of the books they sell will make you think, hard about society and I'd rather learn about them then some Retarded Coffee shop Revolutionary, anywhoo moving on before this sounds like a spam. I don't know this forum sounds like a good place to start with people that are actually serious about something like this, 7chan and 99chan are good but way too disorganized, Zombie Squad would be a good place to start if they didn't have an age restriction and i guess this place would seem like the best place for someone like me, at least to relate, if anything.
I have to thank Toobe for posting his story on 99chan , otherwise i would never have found this website, it's kind of odd after i read the story and i see all the people he wrote about it kind of felt like meeting celebrities or at least people in a story. Well, that's everything I hope you all can count on me in the Upcoming Armageddon.

Hey, welcome! I don't even know if I'm in the story past the first chapter as a guard in the beginning named Champ. While this place might not be extremely active right now, we do get about a post a day at least. I'd recommend instead of looking for active topics, look through the old good ones and give your input there, maybe start new conversation.
The "serious" forums here are General, Disaster Survival, Laws and Orders, Weapons Armor and Transport, and Technology and Communication.
Also see which regional group you are in. http://forum.zcorps.org/regional-groups-f6/attn-floridians-t50.htm since there are now 5 of you maybe you can get elephant to make the board for you, like there is for Midwest and Ohio and Mohawks.

Re: Introductions

Post  Avoidant on Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:43 pm

Hello, everyone. Name's Cameron. I hate it; it's so long.

I'm terrible at introductions, so I guess I'll just start and hope for the best. I'm 19, I live in California, and I go to a small community college located on a hill, surrounded by houses and a small shopping center off to the north. If any awful world-ending apocalypse occurred there, I would be screwed, yes. At the moment, I don't have too many special skills. I speak very, very broken Spanish, but I'm working on improving that, and I've started to develop a love for the "microbiology and infectious diseases" course that I've enrolled in this term. Bacteria and viruses, fun fun fun.

I love reading a good work of fiction (recommend your favorite zombie fiction work? I haven't read a good one of those in a while), and going to the movies every couple of weeks or so. The whole zombie genre has always managed to freak me out on a level that most horror films cannot reach, simply because the idea of a large scale disease outbreak just seems so much more ... plausible than, say, ghosts, or vampires. As we (as humans) learn more about ourselves and how we work, the thought of being able to manipulate that information, and screw things up completely, does not seem impossible.

But I digress. I came across your site while reading a short story by one of this forum's moderators, "Toobe Forgotten." Somebody posted a link to the forums, and I just had to join. So, hello!
