Your religion
I was unsure of where to post this but how will religion affect you in your decisions during a time of such crisis?
If something of this nature happens, is it due to an angry and wrath filled God?
I think this is interesting because of course religion will play a large role in people's reactions to something like a zombie outbreak, we see it influencing our current world disasters every day.
Will converting people be a priority to you once the smoke has cleared?
What will you do when faced with others attempting to make you see the error of your ways?
I am not religious and I'd try to avoid religious zealotry at all costs.
Religion has driven many great and deavstating events to happen and I can only imagine what it would be like after a disaster.
I am willing to bet many would be murdered in the name of [insert religion here] because people will legitimately believe it will be their road to salvation and prevent anything that terrible from happening again.

Re: Your religion
Before this continues I'm going put down some ground rules for this discussion to keep it from becoming hostile.
1) Well discussion of religion is allowed do try to respect everyone religion
2) Condemning other users to hell or any form of undesirable fate/afterlife due to there beliefs or lack of will not be tolerated and is the fastest way to get banned
3) There will be no discussion of which religion is wright or wrong.
With that out of the way enjoy your discussion

Haha nice, mod-flex. As for the rules these are fine, I agree with them and rule 2 is actually kind of funny, i may not be able to tell someone to go to hell but I sure can tell them where to stick there heaven lol. Eternal contentment?? Lemme go get a lawnchair...

Re: Your religion
Fortunately, I'm an agnostic with a Deist idea of god. My thought has always been if zombies were to come about it would because of man, not god.
Here I admit that I'm a nerd and I have World War Z on my zune and listen to it incessantly. The thing that worried me about it is the idea that religious fundamentalists would assume it was a plague from god and want us all to die. Seems like they'd be more problematic than the zed infestation.

Re: Your religion
I've never believed in a god or gods, my wife does though, so I don't think any sort of zombie apoc will occur because of such a being, my cousin (church every sunday and bible study every day) says that in his biblical readings and whatnot it says that there's gonna be some rising of everyone who has ever died like even skeletons and gibs to consume the wicked who I suppose didn't go to heaven or valhalla or whatever, so I would assume that zombies raised by a god would be invulnerable to anything but magical weapons and even then might just rise again and again as smaller and smaller pieces, I guess what I'm trying to say is that god risen zombies would be terrible and basically the only survival stratagy (other than magical or holy or perhaps unholy weaponry) would be to avoid them.

I believe in no higher being(s)/God(s)/Goddess(es).
And therefore agree that the living dead with be brought on by the means of man.

Re: Your religion
Nah, no spiritual zombies, as there are no spiritual forces.
We're either going to make them come about, or a mutation of rabies will come around and make ragers.

Re: Your religion
I don't think Religion would affect us, but we should actually prepare for the ones that do.
You just know more than once a Z:CORPS rescue squad will be attack by a religion fanatic and their hordes of god-fearin' zealots.

I don't think religious fanatics would really be a problem. Most religious people aren't delusional maniacs.

they are when the world is over run by the living dead whose sole objective is to consume flesh and make you become one of them

The exact same reaction as an atheist or agnostic or whatever else.

true, but what we dont have with the latter is the belief that these monstrosities were sent by the hand of god.
I have a fear of either ritualistic suicide/sacrifice (since we need to SAVE them) or somehow using these things against us.

True, but any religion that felt like God sent them, would probably be a crazy cult or maybe some nutso branch of the mormons (no offense to anyone) but as far as Methodists, Baptists, Catholics seem to include a majority of "normal people".

Re: Your religion
I think I've said this before, sure seems familiar.
SPOILER INVOLVING "THE MIST"
If you've ever watched the movie the mist this will sound familiar to you, the survivors are all gathered together and a woman gets all preachy and says that its some of the other survivors fault, the ones who don't believe it is "gods will" or something like that and they I think kill, I know they try to the nonbelieveing/doing what the woman says survivors, I can see a situation like that arising and needing to be handled. specifically if we have a centeralized location and group and then power is usurped by someone like that, we could have a civil war going on between zcorps members and a war against the ever growing legion of undead.

Re: Your religion
Again, I cannot defend every religion. I am religious and I know TONS of other people who are too, and none of them is like that. That lady was crazy from the beginning of the movie.
