obviously that true, but as Ceres says, new people still join that particular site, i think they're up to 600+ now. If we had 600+ members we'd be getting more shit done. Instead we have like... 12.
If anyone still has access over there, can you find a way to redirect anyone there over here? or just put a link in giant bold letters right in the center of the page?

agree

I mean that in the case of an extensive outbreak where >90% of the population succumbs to the zombie horde. The dynamics of everything would be totally changed, and I think a more communist model would be implemented by the survivors.
So communism or socialism? I don't think that marxist ideals would work, communism in theory would only work in a utopian state, but with human nature as it is such a state could not be reached regardless of whatever cataclysmic event were to happen. Communism doesn't work economically because the fact that the government is in complete control of all production and everyone gets the same no matter how hard they work or how lazy they are. Thus the incentive to work decreases dramatically. The country's wealth goes down, shortages occur, no inventions are produced (as the government would steal them away anyway, leaving no incentive) and the economy eventually collapses. Just look at the Soviet Union. Of course the fact that they were a harsh totalitarian dictatorship didn't help things much with them either. Eventually China will surely suffer the same fate.
Communism simply would not work the way Marx intended it because in a post apocalyptic world where the motto of "survival of the fittest" is engrained into the minds of everyone no matter where they live.
History will repeat...once again

relinquish individualism

farmers farm. give food out to people. and farm, of course. sub group of farmers: cooking people.
manufacturers make weaponized objects for protectors. receive food from farmers.
protectors protect. receive food from farmers and weapons from manufacturers. there are multiple shifts. protectors outside of duty sleep, or help out with the other jobs.
no government. community decisions are acted upon if everyone agrees on it. everyone in townhall meetings has 1 vote. townhall meetings are every other night.
I agree with this idea a lot actually.
The manufacturers would of course manufacture other goods than just weaponized objects.
And these communities should be communes.
Plus, I think that at least three of the four organizational ideals of Platformism could be integrated in.
- tactical unity
- theoretical unity
- collective responsibility
- Federalism
But I see Confederalism a better substitute for Federalism.
but you will still have individuals that will not relinquish individualism
