I wanted to make a new topic everyone would see, it doesn't really fit in general, but it also doesn't fit anywhere else as off topic is sort of unrelated silliness.
(note, I got this email without me saying anything to him first, so while I have talked to a few of you about them in the past, this is totaly a surprise to me too)Here's an email I got from, the owner of ZRS (whos name and all personal information will be removed from the email, but are attainable on the ZRS website) I hope its ok with him:

Hi Dan-

As a new Researcher in ZRS, and also a member of ZCORPS, I wanted to run something by you. ZRS currently doesn't have a Paramilitary wing, but it's something that we've talked about developing for some time now.

My feeling is that there are already a ton of great zombie groups out there, and the less we can avoid doubling each others' efforts the better. A core notion in ZRS is that only by working together will we all have a chance to survive.

With that said, my initial thought is that there might be some way that ZRS and ZCORPS could join forces. I'm not exactly sure how this would work, but I think it's worth talking about.

Your feedback would be much appreciated, and if you're not the right person to speak to within ZCORPS, I'd love to be pointed in the right direction.

STEVEN SCHLOZMAN, MD
Dr. Steven Schlozman is Co-Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. His research in Zombie Neurobiology, leading to the theory of Ataxic Neurodegenerative Satiety Deficiency Syndrome, represents an important step forward for ZRS.

Scott Kenemore
Musician and author Scott Kenemore penned the bestseller The Zen of Zombie (2007), and his most recent book, Z.E.O., was released in early August of 2009. When he's not writing about Zombies, Scott is the drummer of the rock band The Blissters.

Mike Harris
Mike Harris is Associate Professor of Biology (Neuroscience) at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, where he specializes in neuro-autonomic regulation. In this capacity he has long been intrigued by the physiological basis for Zombies, as it relates to metabolic suppression.

Jonathan Maberry
Jonathan Maberry is a multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning author, magazine feature writer, playwright, content creator and writing teacher/lecturer. He is also the 2008 Heinzman Award Winner for his book, Zombie CSU, which looks at the hard science behind Zombies.

Geoff Bough is Editor In Chief of Revenant Magazine, an online publication covering Zombies in film, print, music, philosophy and more. He's also the Founder of the Revenant Film Festival, a celebration of independent Zombie movies held annually in Seattle, Washington.

RYAN LEACH
Ryan Leach is the co-creator of LostZombies.com, a Zombie themed social network that seeks to create the worlds first community-generated Zombie book and film. When not working on LZ, he can be found all over the web exploring his other passion, viral marketing.

RYAN MECUM
Poet Ryan Mecum is a Zombie enthusiast, and 2008 Heinzman Award Winner for his book, Zombie Haiku. A Cincinnati native, he has had the unique pleasure of hearing Ken Foree - live at the Monroeville Mall - say, "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth."

JILLIAN McDONALD
Canadian artist, Jillian McDonald, is Assistant Professor of Fine Arts at Pace University, New York. Her work explores the horror genre, and is exhibited worldwide. McDonald also lectures frequently about her interest in movie stars and monsters.

MAYA PROHOVNIK
Maya Prohovnik graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a double BA in Psychology and Linguistics, despite spending most of her time in heated Zombie related debates. When the Zombie Pandemic hits, she looks forward to being the token cute girl.

Their forums have 201 members (obviously not that many active) and their facebook page has 1,481 fans.

Anyways I think its cause while they are more intellectuals like "how could one kill a zombie?", we're more "lets kill some fucking zombies." plus we have some ex military members, some current and in the future too. we have the ability to aid in plans, improvisation, safety, the immediately life saving stuff in he event of an outbreak. also it would prevent us just doing everything twice(once for us once for them) with half the power(half the member base of us combined) It would add to the thought pool with a different perspective.
