Temporary HQ

I was laying in bed last night thinking. What happens if Z-day were to happen tomorrow, or next week, or even next month. What are we going to do? We need to set up a temporary HQ or at least a meeting place.

Now i know that there may be situations that will halt us from getting into this temp. HQ, thats why we need more than one temp. Incase temp1 is compromised, or whatever.

It's time to get more serious.

I agree. The least we could do is establish a small town somewhere to rendezvous at. Then we can figure out where to move from there.

i see us taking a town or some sort of big building and fortifying it after zday much more than getting land and building onto it pre-zday.

i like the idea of using areas near state or national Forrest/parks because many of them are in remote areas where hunting is a possibility for food. well areas like this make lack the resources to establish a strong base of operations equipment and resources can be brought in from the surrounding area.

i just looked up where this is on a map. you neglected to mention its on a peninsala near a dam that is capable of producing 160,000 kilowatts and the whole site is deep in the middle of no where. this isn't that hard of a location convince people to use you just have to make the benefits sound better then the travel.

Peninsula pinches off a bit too, easier to defend that connector. Also, Its definitively my long run choice, Do we have enough gas to get there though? Who knows.

google maps says like a day and 3 hours for me when I divide distance by the miles per gallon times it comes up to 53 gallons i doubt any one is farther out then me in California except the Europe people with i 13 gallon tank that's 5 fill ups and showing up with most of a full tank alternatively that 53 1 gallon non-mixed gas cans I would have to steal from garages

for me and ceres its a good 21 hour trip....damn....its like 600-700 something miles.

anychance of getting to it by boat?

alternativly for us brits, i'm sure we could find somewhere in the yorkshire dales or peak district, i'm not sure what we'll do about power though.
