living in an igloo
I think I'm going to live in a igloo for a few weeks this winter if we have enough snow by December when I get my time off

Re: living in an igloo
Build a quincee(?). Just as good just not as permanent. Used to build them all the time. Make a giant hill of snow, then carve out its insides with a shovel or a nice bendable saw. Then you can lay some hay or just about anything on the ground and you'll be fine. So cold outside you didn't even want to pee but I was sleeping in a t-shirt and boxers.

Re: living in an igloo
yep. Super warm. And then when you`re done, climb to the top, stand there while doing a heroic pose, then jump as high as you can. lol crash right through the top. The ones we build are about a person tall, wide enough the fit four people side by side, with a windbreak tunnel to crawl in. Only make it as big as you need though or you`re dissipating heat. lol we even made one with shelves once

Haha, it's not that bad. It still gets cold enough for me to shell out the long sleeves or jackets.

Re: living in an igloo
I heard a good tip is to stick a load of twigs about a foot - 18 inches all around the thing. when you get to a twig stop digging and you'll have nice thick walls.IronGeneral wrote:Build a quincee(?). Re: living in an igloo
Igloos are awesome! when i was like 9 or 10 i went to some winter camp thing at the base of Mount Hood and they had igloos instead of cabins, we used A candle to warm the room at night.
