You know, it's not only cold there where you are. I lived through at least 5 different ice storms, the last one I was in, the ice storm of 1998 of new england dumped 5 inches of ice on us just in the first two hours. HERE IS A LINK TO SOME PICS OF THAT STORM see those metal frame high-voltage power line towers folded over in half?? Good times, good times...

Hey, in britain we're getting your teste-freezing scandanavian air at the moment so it's gone to -13 in Yorkshire (where i am) and it went down to -20 in Scotland and hasn't been above freezing for about a week an a half. And i get to feel slightly smug cos i got a really nice pair of proper boots two weeks ago.

Depends on the part of California. In southern California they have a few hundred miles of buffer between any where that gets below 60 at night. here I have to scrape ice off my car window in the morning. i know it's not really cold but today it didn't get above 50 and it was a nice day.Toobe Forgotten wrote:juggs, ceres and anyone over in cali are the only one of us who doesn't know what cold is.

Well, the thing is that most of you get to sit inside when it's cold.
I on the other hand had to undergo a one week combat training in -26 celsius not so long ago. Happy camping when hell freezes over.

I'm a trucker. have fun putting 8 chains on in 5*F on top of a mountain, then driving down said mountain and taking the fuckers back off. I have hit snow storms across wyoming, nebraska, northern arizona, the colorado rockies, utah, and donner pass between CA and NV. I know cold, and I know how to drive it.

Re: living in an igloo
You know how there's those guys how offer to put you chains on for cash at chain check points. Next time you see them you should stop and ask them how much it would cost for them to put chains on your truck just to mess with them.Elephant wrote:Toobe Forgotten wrote:juggs, ceres and anyone over in cali are the only one of us who doesn't know what cold is.
